Benaras revisited
Benaras can never be disappointing. Sharing few shots of my another Benaras (Varanashi) trip in 2010
Beautiful... that much I could say... one thing to ask.. the pic "the door".. was that a door or window? what was the significance of the design above that?
Hi Art for a smiling heart for your liking. Yes that is basically a window, but few iron rods could be removed , if required . I have seen them to use it as a door by this simple improvisation . So the title, basically it is Two in One.
I am not sure if there was any religious significance of the design. Wat attracted me was the symmetrical geometrical pattern.
